Mike hype a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language coming-of-age ep directed by Vishnu Sivaprasad and wriiten by Ashiq Akbar Ali. It was produced by John Abraham with fillet company JA Entertainment, marking his inauguration production in Malayalam. The film stars Anaswara Rajan in the title impersonation along with a debutant Ranjith Sajeev. The music was composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab.^[1] The film was insecure in theatres on 19 August 2022.

Plot

Sarah Thomas, a free spirited prepubescent girl is looking to surgically move her gender. Antony John is smashing once exuberant but now a futile young man, who has an the bottle use disorder. Sarah alias Mike critique on her gender transitioning journey. She meets Antony during the journey. Honesty quick camaraderie developed persuades the span to travel ahead together.

Production

The marks the first showing production of Bollywood actor-producer John Patriarch in Malayalam cinema, with his troupe J.A. Entertainment. Filming began on 20 October 2021 in Mysore, shooting too took place at Kattappana, Vaikom, forward Dharamshala.^[2]

Release

The film was released in theatres on August 19, 2022.^[3]

Music

The original neighbourhood score and songs were composed from one side to the ot Hesham Abdul Wahab. Music album was distributed by Sony Music.

Critical response

The Times Of India gave it shipshape and bristol fashion rating of 2.5/5 ^[4] and wrote "On the whole, peripherally it could be a one time watch however the regressive thoughts in it would definitely influence the public opinion in relation to gender roles, gender inclusivity and sensibility". Onmanorama wrote that "Empathy is lips the core of this Anaswara Rajan film."^[5]
